Welcome to Hey Sister Spa Blog!

As our clientele has expanded, the sisters at Hey Sister Spa would like to reintroduce themselves. So, Hi! Welcome to our corner of the internet where we love to share with you all things beauty, health, and wellness. Fun fact: we are actually sisters!

As sisters and best friends we love working together, so one night on a phone call the idea of starting a business was born. From there we took our years of healthcare experience and dove head first into the aesthetics community. We have loved every minute of it.

About Renee Storm, ARNP

Renee began her healthcare career as a phlebotomist in 2000, working at the hospital while she was in nursing school. After she graduated from nursing school she transitioned to working in the emergency department, where she became part of the elite group of resources nurses that work at all the emergency departments for Legacy. After many years working as a nurse and putting her husband through school, she decided it was time to focus on herself and her goals. Renee graduated with her Master’s in Nurse Practioner in 2021 while working in the imaging department where she met some fantastic radiology doctors. This helped her segway seamlessly into interventional radiology medicine and really fulfilled her nerdy side of procedural medicine, women’s health, and continuing education. In order to balance her spa, home life, and work, she now enjoys a short commute working in the Pearl as a family health nurse practitioner.

While working at Hey Sister Spa, Renee has developed a passion for obesity medicine and helping people achieve their health and beauty goals. Her next goal is to become certified in obesity medicine. She absolutely loves celebrating the health wins with her weight loss patients, and wants to continue helping people on their weight loss journey. When Renee isn’t working a billion hours a week in the spa and at her family practice, she loves hanging out with her family which consists of her husband, three-legged pitty, and the orneriest cat you’ve ever met. Some of her favorite things are going to Cannon Beach, trivia night at the bar with her husband and friends, and seeing Tony Smiley live around town.

About Lindsey Lockwood, BSN, RN

Lindsey was a late bloomer to working in healthcare. While her mom and sister were both nurses, Lindsey decided to follow a different path and graduated from cosmetology school right after high school. She spent a total of 10 years working and learning in the beauty industry. After the birth of her daughter Eva, she decided it was time for a career change and nursing was the most interesting. Both her mom and sister were ecstatic that she had finally decided on the path they always knew she was meant to be on. While going through nursing school Lindsey worked in the imaging department with Renee. After graduating nursing school in 2018 she worked in skilled nursing, long-term acute care nursing, and then decided that the emergency department was the place she loved working the most. However, you can take the girl out of the beauty industry but you can’t take the beauty industry out of the girl. Lindsey wanted to merge her two worlds of beauty and nursing, the natural evolution is aesthetics medicine.

When she isn’t busy working in the spa or in the emergency department, Lindsey loves to travel with her husband and two kids. She has a huge Landseer Newfoundland and recently adopted a lab/ pit mix. She plans to start school soon to get her Masters so she can work as a nurse practitioner like her sister. Lindsey has been on her own personal health and beauty journey, which has really ignited her passion for helping others meet their own goals.
